AWARE Quick Tour

This brief tour lets you experience some of the features that are consistent throughout the system. For example, search pages behave and display in the same way whether you are using the Participant module or any other module. The tour starts on the Login page.

Getting Started

 1.   To start up AWARE, you must first complete the Login page. AWARE checks that you are an active staff member and confirms your security rights.

The terms “page” and “datapage” will be used interchangeably. A datapage is a screen that allows you to add data or to view, edit and change information that is stored in the AWARE database.

 2.   Based on your assigned personal security you can use the links on the Main Menu to access various AWARE modules. The modules are organized by three columns: Case Management, Financial Management and Organization Management.

Finding a Case

 3.   Use the Participant module link in the Case Management column to access the module and display the Case Search page. The Participant module, the largest single module, covers the life cycle of a participant from application through closure and post employment services.

The Case Search page is the entry point to your caseload, to search for a participant or to start a new case. By using one of the Caseload - layouts you can locate any caseload in the AWARE database that you have security to view. The Caseload - Open layout lists all open cases assigned to a particular caseload. The Caseload – Closed layout lists closed cases for a particular caseload.

Viewing Case Activity

 4.   Once you have selected the participant on the Case Search page, the Case Management page allows you to see a summary of case activities. From here you can access case management detail pages by using an Activity link in the grid. You can use the Personal Information activity links to review details of the case.

Exploring Case Detail

 5.    The Personal Information datapage has the standard command buttons and case header information.

The page keeps track of the most recent personal information for a participant.

Clicking the Close button automatically saves all data and returns you to the page from which you came. If you do not want to save your current entries, click the Actions menu and select Cancel to leave the page.

Entering New Information

 6.    The Pages menu provides another way to navigate to datapages. Once you have selected the participant and have navigated to the Case Management page, you can use the Pages menu to access other Participant module pages.
