South sound software developer debuts on the Inc. 5000 list at #3810.
Reflecting years of investment, hard work and a dedication to customer service, Alliance Enterprises, Inc. (Alliance) catapulted onto the 2016 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies released last week. Alliance, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary, ranked No. 3810 on the 35th annual list of entrepreneurial companies on the rise. Alliance founder and Director of Research Rick Gifford noted, “It’s great honor and proof that you don’t have to be a startup to have record growth. We’ve doubled in size in the last three years and that translates into more high tech jobs right here in the south sound.”
Alliance’s revenues grew 80% from 2012 to 2015 largely based on the strength of the company’s Aware application, an enterprise records management solution designed for vocational rehabilitation professionals. Aware is now used in 30 states and 24 tribal nations to help individuals with disabilities get training and find new jobs. Alliance growth is being fueled by the rising demand, within the public sector, to migrate enterprise applications to the cloud. Alliance’s cloud services have grown 1,000% in the past year and the company was most recently recognized as Microsoft’s Public Sector Rising Star Partner of the year.
Alliance executives credit much of their success in managing the rising growth to the company’s newest software offering, MyObjectives. Wendy Massey, Alliance’s Director of Operations and Human Resources commented, “Growth is a wonderful thing but it must be managed or it can overwhelm the employees and break the company. Our goal achievement software has allowed our employee teams to keep pace with the ever increasing demands that accompany rapid growth.” The MyObjectives solution helps self-directed teams achieve better outcomes by integrating goal achievement, engagement and gamification within a process that is rewarding and fun. The software-as-a-service is currently used by Alliance and other small businesses, non-profits and corporations across North America and Europe.

The 2016 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2012 to 2015. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2012. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2015. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2012 is $100,000; the minimum for 2015 is $2 million.
