Alliance earns the recognition based on delivering technology solutions that have transformed the way people with disabilities are served by state agencies.
Alliance Enterprises, Inc. (Alliance) was recognized today for delivering technology solutions that have positively changed the vocational rehabilitation (VR) industry, winning Microsoft’s 2017 State and Local Government Digital Transformation Partner of the Year award. Microsoft announced award winners at its U.S. Public Sector Partner Awards conference in Bellevue, Washington.
Partnering with Microsoft, Alliance has empowered its 38 VR state agencies and 23 tribal nation customers across the U.S. to better serve people with disabilities. The company’s cloud services and market-leading case management software, Aware, is used by 12,000 counselors at VR agencies, helping more than 500,000 individuals with disabilities find and maintain meaningful employment each year.
Over the past year, the technology solutions jointly provided by Alliance and Microsoft, have significantly simplified and sped up the process for people with disabilities who are trying to get onto state programs from four days to two hours. State agency customers are now using Alliance’s API to launch portals that their clients can use from their own homes. These portals, leveraging Microsoft Azure Government, are also enabling greater cross-agency collaboration with more efficient and secure communication between agencies, external resources and the clients.
“We’re honored to win this distinguished award, and, for us, it’s really about doing the best we can to serve our state agency customers by delivering technology that improves their experiences,” said Alliance Chief Technology Officer, Sven Akerman Jr. “In the years ahead we look forward to partnering with Microsoft to further transform how the 60 million Americans with disabilities are served in the vocational rehabilitation industry.”
Last year Alliance was named the Microsoft Rising Star Partner of the Year in the state and local government sector for significantly growing its cloud services business. Alliance maintains three Microsoft Gold Competencies (Application Development, Datacenter, and Cloud Platform).
